PRAYER WARRIORS

When people are struggling it’s hard to always know what to do. What can you do to let them know you care? What can you do to help? What can you say to convey you are there? I always struggled with a simple “I’m praying for you”. It never seemed to feel like a great enough offer. Until now…

It’s an incredibly humbling experience to be the receiver of so many’s prayers. I have been and continue to be lifted up by family, friends and many I may never meet. It’s an undeserving feeling. Never think of lifting someone up in prayer as a less than adequate offer. It’s the most important and gracious thing you can give, and I assure you it’s what I have wanted and appreciated the most.

Two of my great friends and previous co-workers came together and had shirts made to share and support my “But God” journey and rallied support from many we had worked with. What a blessing it has been to receive photos from so many reminding me they love me and are praying.

Close family friends of ours had “But God” bracelets made which we shared with our church family and friends. Many have shared it’s been a great conversation starter and reminder to pray for me. Thank you, friends, for such thoughtfulness. I am grateful for such kindness, and I continue to be humbled by so many prayer warriors.

My aunt reminded me of a song not long into this journey and I find myself listening to it quite often. When I do, I am reminded that I am lifted up by so many, and that I don’t fight alone.
